Commodities continue to drive Canadian economic boom

It matters a lot what the Canadian dollar does if you are a manufacturer in Ontario or Quebec, and it matters little if you are the natural resource business in any of Canada's provinces. Once again on Friday it was the "things from the ground" that drove the TSX and the Canadian dollar higher during the trading day. Although commodities over the years trade in cycles, this current commodity boom seems to be unprecedented in nature as the world lines up on our doorstep to buy what we mine or pump.
